Salary Guide

This is purely a guide taken from salaried positions registered and filled within the last twelve month period. Naturally salaries and requirements may vary according to current market conditions and client needs. The figures below show an approximate starting salary with no ceiling and additional benefits will vary according to the company. We are happy to advise you both candidates and companies on current market expectations

Candidates are expected to have very relevant and specific experience /expertise and be prepared to be flexible in this current job market where companies retain a wider choice as there are more candidates to choose from. Also some of our Clients require candidates to complete verbal reasoning and mathematical aptitude tests prior to interviews. Jane Dewhurst offer MS Office Training for skills upgrade at all levels.

Administration Roles: from £18000 upwards.
Duties include:
A variety of positions with varying levels of responsibility including provision of administrative support to all levels of staff – within a team environment and reporting to supervisors, line managers or above. Candidates should have excellent PC & MS Office skills together with an adaptable and positive attitude within the workplace.

Marketing Roles: from £18,000.
Roles include:
Category Marketing Assistants, Executives and Managers.

Teams Assistants: from £20,000.
Duties include:
To provide secretarial and admin support to all levels of Management and associated teams – including co-ordination and management of diaries and travel, correspondence and presentation creation. Excellent PC Skills and sometimes shorthand required.

Buying/Purchasing from £20,000.
Duties include:
To be responsible or assist with all aspects of Category purchasing of consumer products.  Management of buying, developing and ranging company products and services. Must have excellent negotiating skills and be aware of supplier pricing.
Degree or equivalent with a 2-1 or higher. This role differs greatly from Procurement roles.

PA’s/ Executive Assistants from £25,000.
Duties include:
Responsible role provision of high-level support for Senior Management, Directors, Chairmen,  CEO’ s & VP’s. Key decision maker’s with integrity to work within proactive environments. Excellent PC and interpersonal skills and a fluency in a second language is often required.

Procurement from £25,000.
Duties include:
To obtain the best prices and services for all in house use. Must have strong negotiating and communication skills- this role differs greatly from buying roles.

Human Resources: Managers, Officers, Advisors & Assistants from £18,000.
Duties include:
Comprehensive knowledge of HR policies and procedures coupled with a qualification in this field. Specifically dealing with Recruitment and Selection, Benefits, Employment Legislation, and Disciplinary & Grievance issues. A good knowledge of the latest employments laws and changes.

Accounts & Payroll from £20,000.
Duties Include:
Bookkeeping, Sales & purchase ledger, credit control, VAT, year & month end reports.  Experience and knowledge of computerised accounts packages and previous experience in this field is essential. Payroll duties include all monthly, weekly and year end procedures for payment of staff salaries, pensions and company benefits.
